Perp DEX List and Rankings

Perp DEXs are decentralized exchanges built for perpetual futures trading. Unlike centralized exchanges, they let traders open leveraged long or short positions while keeping settlement and trading infrastructure onchain. The market now includes everything from established venues such as Hyperliquid, Lighter to newer PerpDEXs competing on liquidity, fees, execution and rewards.

This Perpetual DEX list tracks the top perpetual DEXs we cover and compares them using open interest (OI), 24-hour trading volume, maker and taker fees, and active rewards programs. Market data is pulled from each exchange's public API and updated hourly, which makes the table useful for comparing both the largest perpetual DEXs and newer platforms gaining market share.

FAQ

What is a Perp DEX?

A Perp DEX is a decentralized exchange for trading perpetual futures. Perpetual contracts work like futures but do not have an expiry date, so traders can keep a long or short position open as long as margin requirements are met. On a Perp DEX, trading and settlement are handled through blockchain-based infrastructure rather than a centralized exchange account.

What does Perp DEX mean?

Perp DEX means perpetual decentralized exchange. You may also see the term written as PerpDEX or perpetual DEX. All three usually refer to decentralized trading platforms focused on perpetual futures.

What are the best Perp DEXs?

There is no single best Perp DEX for every trader. Larger open interest and trading volume usually indicate deeper liquidity, while fees, available markets, execution quality and rewards can matter just as much. The table above lets you compare these metrics across the Perp DEXs we track rather than ranking them using a subjective score.

How are Perp DEXs ranked on this page?

The table compares Perp DEXs using live market and exchange data, including open interest, 24-hour volume, maker and taker fees, and rewards. Open interest is particularly useful for measuring how much active positioning is currently held on each exchange, while volume shows recent trading activity.

What is Perp DEX volume?

Perp DEX trading volume is the total value of perpetual contracts traded on a decentralized exchange over a given period. On this page, 24-hour volume is used so that activity can be compared across exchanges on the same basis.

What is open interest on a Perp DEX?

Open interest is the total value of perpetual positions that are still open. Unlike trading volume, it does not count every trade made during the day. A higher open interest usually means more capital is actively deployed in positions on that exchange.

Why do Perp DEX maker and taker fees differ?

Maker orders add liquidity to an order book, while taker orders remove existing liquidity. Because exchanges want to encourage deeper markets, maker fees are often lower than taker fees and can sometimes even be negative, meaning the trader receives a rebate. Maker orders are called limit orders on exchange, while taker orders are called market orders in trading interface.

What are Perp DEX rewards?

Many newer Perp DEXs run points, airdrop or incentive programs to attract trading volume and liquidity. The rewards column shows whether a venue currently has an active program and, where available, the name of that program.

  • Airdrop Pre-season — usually the first stage, when an exchange has launched but has not released its official points program yet.
  • Airdrop Season 1 — the exchange has released its official points program.
  • Season 2 – N — the exchange has launched its token and has a new post-TGE points program.
